Pupbox is a monthly subscription service that is tailored and
customized to your pet and provides a mix (5-7 items) of treats, toys, and accessories. I got the itty-bitty box (0-10 pounds) because I have a 6/7 pound Pomeranian. The sizes go up from there. Small-ish is 10-30 pounds, midsize 30-50 pounds, and large & in charge which is 50+ pounds. You fill out a pet profile and they send you items that
your dog might like. The goal is to help your dog along through every stage. The
February box, pictured below was all about dental hygiene and that is something
I can get behind.

The inside of the box was wrapped in brown paper and contained a card with important hygiene facts for dogs.
Lastly, the box included a bottle of a fresh breath enhancer. The idea is you add it to your dogs water and as they drink, it freshens their breath. Like mouth wash for dogs. I tried a different brand before and for awhile it was the only way my dog would drink her water. She would demand the stuff. This bottle seems to go for between $15-$20
Once opened my dog did not know what to go for first. Below is a picture of everything that was included. Spoiler alert, my dog was a fan of all of it, which is bad news for my wallet.
First up, We have a Mammoth Flossing Chew Rope. Depending on where you shop you should be able to get this for around $5. The goal is to clean your dogs teeth while they play and if your dog loves to chew or play tug, this will be perfect for them.
Next, a valentines day themed treat that's peanut butter flavored. My dog will do anything for peanut butter so I don't expect these to last long. The price I was finding online for a 6oz bag like this was around $7. On the plus side however these are made in the USA so you could argue that they are worth the price for the peace of mind.
Dental treats are items I try to keep stocked in the house. This box contained two 2-packs of Dynamo Dog dental bones. They're made in the USA and the prices for them seem to vary between $3-$5 each. I like that these treats do more than just help clean her teeth. While the two I received are for hip & joint and for tummy, there is a third one available for breath.
The first thing that stood out to me was the title. I'm assuming these are also valentines day themed because who would make a better valentine than your best friend? With a price of $7, these treats were made in the USA, grain and soy free, and are designed to be easy to digest. What more can you ask for? According to Google, Paleo is a type of nutritional diet that is all about eating the best and healthiest produce and meats. If dieting is your thing, it sounds like something that you and your dog can do together.
A month to month subscription costs $39. When I add everything up, the value of this box was between $40-$49.
My final thoughts...I like the box even if I do feel the price is a little steep. As I already mentioned the boxes are based on how you describe your dog and they have an online store where you can buy past items. Each box is individualized and that is something I can appreciate. If my dog had an allergy to something, they would make sure not to include it in the box. Everything in the box was also made in the USA and after all the various news stories, that is something I am grateful for. I also like how each box is tailored to the age of the dog and their overall wellness. I look forward to more boxes, as does my spoiled baby.
Because my dog loves to hide things, I need to alter this review. She hid two items from me because for some insane reason, she loves stashing things around my room. So! Below are two items that I accidentally left off. This first being a Kong squeak toy and the second, a flower bow for a collar. She loves the toy. She'll play with almost anything with a squeaker. One time I bought her a bag of squeakers just to see what she'd do. She destroyed most of them within days, as she has done with most of her current toys. The squeaker seems like it can take some abuse but if your dog is like mine and likes to remove the fur from toys and rip them open, keep a close on this one. Retail on this hedgehog is about $8.
As for the collar, she hates it. As I mentioned before she hates clothes but it's a pretty bow none the less. Retail is $6.
Going off what I said before, I still agree this is a cool box. I wrote in the description that she likes treats and squeak toys and they certainly provided those. I look forward even more to next month!
